Stichting Noordhollandse Alternatieve Bierbrouwers (SNAB) was founded by specialty beerbrewers from North Holland at January 24th, 1991.

Our primary goal is "to promote the beer culture in general and alternative beers in particular".

Alternative beers are brewed with new materials and/or based on new methods.
To achieve our objectives, we focus on developing and commercially exploiting new beers that have not been brewed before in the Netherlands.

In other words, SNAB stands for:

Culture
The (re) introduction of forgotten old beers and beers, not brewed before in the Netherlands

Character

The brewing of beer with its own distinctive flavor.
Adventure and taste sensations are emphasized.

Creativity
By using natural, non-conventional commodities, SNAB goes for opening up new horizons. Also traditional beers are combined into new, alternative ones.
