The festival is part of Culinary Haarlem. The nice thing about this beer festival is that especially many smaller breweries present. Of course with national and sometimes international fame. During the beer festival the organisation will not work with coins or entrance. Anyone can get beer at the brewery of your choice. There is certainly a nice meal because the space is shared with the adjacent bars / restaurants.

What started two decades ago in De Bonte Koe, as a small event, has been growing into a very fun and fantastic event. Many people visit every year our festival and we are very proud.
The secret of success is that it is not so massive, that there is a great audience, who all share the same passion: Bockbeer! and to keep that way. Secondly, of course, the many fine bockbeers each year are on tap.
2010 was very special! the twentieth anniversary of our festival. There were 30 different Bocks on draft that, with the help of our Beer Guild "De Dubbele Arend", are poured. Delicious bites and music of De Reizende Sterren. All this we do again in 2011. In and in front off the Bonte Koe all together enjoying the best day of the year!
